Plans for the expansion of the Recreation and Community Center at Central Park are moving ahead thanks to a state grant for city improvements.
Initial plans for the center’s expansion called for a five-year project to allow the city time to raise the estimated $1.8 million for the work. A preliminary design for the center will be completed by the end of September.
