Bertha Holt
* Re the Aug. 2 obituary of Bertha Holt: Without Bertha Holt where would I be today? My life as the mixed-race child of a bar girl in Korea was pretty awful. I remember when I was 5 years old being slapped on the street by a stranger just because of my dark skin and kinky hair.
So I can say that there was a big mistake in your obituary. Holt did not leave just 22 grandchildren when she died; she left more than 40,000 who bless her name and know that she has gone to her reward.
