The city is now accepting nominations for the first Grace Lachina Outstanding Senior Recognition Award.
Nominees must be residents of the city and must have made exceptional contributions to the senior community.
The award is named after a local senior housing activist and former president of the Cypress Senior Citizens Club.
Nominations must be made on an official application form by Aug. 31.
Applications are available at the Cypress Senior Center, 9031 Grindlay St.
