Housing Affordability Continues to Drop

Housing affordability in Southern California continued to drop in June, the California Assn. of Realtors reported. Based on CAR’s index, San Diego was the least affordable county in the Southland, with only 23% of households able to afford a median-priced home. Ventura and Orange counties tied as the second-least affordable counties at 25%. In Los Angeles County, affordability was at 39%; Riverside and San Bernardino counties ranked the most affordable at 47%.
