Analysts’ Profit Estimates Satisfy Water Pik

Water Pik Technologies Inc. said it’s “comfortable” with analysts’ earnings estimates of 13 cents to 16 cents a share for the third quarter.

The Newport Beach company, which manufactures personal health care products, pool products and heating systems, also said it is comfortable with fiscal year estimates of $1.20 a share that emerged from a survey of analysts by First Call/Thomson Financial.

Water Pik was spun off in December from Allegheny Technologies Inc. in Pittsburgh.

For the year ended Dec. 31, 1999, Water Pik reported net income of $11.1 million, or $1.15 a share, on revenue of $254.7 million.
