Advanced Photonix Reports 9% 1st-Quarter Rise Over ’99

Advanced Photonix Inc. in Camarillo said first-quarter revenue for the three months ended June 25 was $1.7 million, 9% higher than the $1.5 million reported last year.

The company reported net income of $194,000 or 2 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $155,000 or 1 cent per share for the same period a year earlier.

Advanced Photonix designs silicon photodetectors and other sophisticated light-detection products used in such items as television remote controls.
