PacifiCare to Repurchase 750,000 Shares

Santa Ana managed care company PacifiCare Health Systems Inc. said that its majority shareholder has elected to sell back to the company 750,000 shares of stock at $59.82 each. UniHealth Foundation will continue to own a 15.9% stake in the company, which represents about 5.4 million shares. Separately, UniHealth Chairman and Chief Executive David R. Carpenter resigned from PacifiCare’s board.
