Microsoft Corp. will not learn until at least Sept. 8 whether the U.S. Supreme Court will consider a breakup order on a fast-track basis. The justices released a list of orders Monday as scheduled, without addressing a Justice Department bid for direct Supreme Court review of Microsoft’s appeal in the landmark antitrust case. The world’s largest software maker wants a federal appeals court to take the first look at its arguments. The high court normally does not announce whether it will consider pending appeals until it returns from its summer recess the last week of September. However, the justices could issue a decision more quickly. Their next scheduled orders date is Sept. 8.
