Bank of America Names Premier Banking, Small-Business Execs

* Bank of America has named Kim Burdick as Premier Banking executive for California and Doug Sawyer as small-business executive for California. Burdick, who is based in Orange County, will oversee a team of more than 450 specialists dedicated to providing enhanced personal service for the bank’s affluent clients. He has headed the bank’s Premier Banking program in Southern California since October 1998. Sawyer, who is based in San Diego, will oversee more than 250 associates who provide small-business banking services. He previously managed the bank’s small business operations in Southern California.

* Santa Monica-based Massive Media Group, founded by a group of entertainment industry executives including former Universal Studio chief Frank Biondi, has three software engineers to help build its digital commerce business. John Matteson has been named to the newly created position of vice president of technology, Mark Schramm has been named vice president of consumer products and Craig German has become vice president of content management. The company is a provider of digital security systems for blocking piracy of digitized movies and TV programs.

* Bradley Branch has been named vice president, on-air promotion at Fox Kids Network. He comes from Fox Sports Net where he was director of on-air promotion.

* Imperial Bank has promoted Mark Dumas to regional vice president of its Los Angeles Airport regional office. He will manage a team of bankers focused on serving small to mid-size businesses primarily in the manufacturing, distribution, wholesale and service industries.

* Ira Tabankin has joined Santa Monica-based Scanz Communications Inc. as chief strategic officer. He previously was a marketing executive at Coyote Network Systems and at Cadence Design Services, where he was director of North America wireless.

* Culver City-based Intertainer Inc., an entertainment-oriented broadband network, has named Mark Sonnenberg executive vice president, content and marketing. He previously was an executive at In Demand.

* Online legal database Legal Knowledge Co. has tapped Robert P. Peterson as vice president, engineering. Peterson is a former technology executive at Carsdirect.com.
