Of Dough, Doughnuts

I almost didn’t read “Follow the Money” (by Christopher Knight, Nov. 29), thinking it was yet another article on politics. Holy Gotham, Batman! Wait till Woody Allen finds out an L.A. guy put an insightful, provocative knock on N.Y.!

Business has not taken me to N.Y. for more than a year and I was really worrying about missing out on the city’s fullness, especially art. Maybe I have been spared. Perhaps N.Y.’s new junior senator will bring fresh life to resurrect N.Y. from the killing censorship of Rudy. I fear, however, that the only “artist” Hillary Clinton knows in the whole bunch Knight wrote of is Armani.

I may not be to couture what Homer Simpson is to doughnuts, but I enjoyed the “Giorgio Armani” exhibit at the Guggenheim Museum.

This is a unique opportunity for us ordinary folk to see clothing of this quality and beauty up close and to appreciate the art of it. This is the point of the exhibit, not the commentary on the walls.
