Alternative ‘Santa’ Has Come to Town

Like their rivals Mark & Brian a couple of weeks ago, the KROQ-FM morning team of Kevin & Bean finds itself on top of the Southern California sales chart with its new charity compilation. “The Real Slim Santa,” which features music from such alternative rock acts as Blink-182, MxPx, Linkin Park and Fuel and comedy bits with Bobcat Gold- thwait, William Shatner and others, sold more than 50,000 copies. That would place it at No. 52 in Billboard’s national Top 200, but it won’t be listed because it is available through only one retailer.
