The National Urban League and Fannie Mae are partnering in a five-year $50-million effort to increase homeownership among minority groups.

Under the partnership, Fannie Mae will provide the league with $50 million in mortgage products, and will also supply more than 100 league affiliates across the country with training, materials and technology, including computers, printers and software, to build their capacity to provide home-buying services to consumers.

The league has committed to providing home-buyer education to some 10,000 minority households in areas served by its affiliates during the next five years.
