California Amplifier Posts Higher Sales, Income
California Amplifier Inc. in Camarillo said sales for the third quarter ended Nov. 25 were $32.6 million, compared with $26.2 million for the third quarter of last year.
The company reported net income of just under $2.3 million, or 16 cents per diluted share, compared with $1.5 million, or 12 cents per diluted share, a year earlier.
“During the third quarter, we continued progress in our wireless access product offerings and further strengthened relationships with key service providers and systems integrators,” said Fred Sturm, chief executive. “Our wireless customer base--which includes Sprint, WorldCom, Look Communications, ADC, Nortel and Cisco--continues to broaden and provide increased future growth potential.”
California Amplifier designs products for the satellite video and ground-based broadband markets.
