Jerry King Elected Water Board Boss

Directors at the Orange County Water District elected Jerry A. King board president this week.

King, vice chairman of the Orange County Beaches and Parks Commission, has served on the district’s board of directors since 1998. He represents Division 5, which consists of Irvine, Tustin and Newport Beach.

King is currently a board member of the Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority, chairman of the Orange County Natural History Museum and vice president of Psomas, a consulting firm in land development and water resources. King has also served on the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board.

The district is a ground-water management agency providing about 75% of the water for more than 2 million people in Orange County. The district serves residents of Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Newport Beach, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Orange, Placentia, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Stanton, Tustin, Villa Park, Westminster and Yorba Linda.
