* Re “Gold Theft Plot Using Phony JPL Office Is Foiled, U.S. Says,” Dec. 21: All my teachers from the ‘40s and ‘50s who took off points for incorrect spelling must be celebrating! The three crooks who got caught because they couldn’t spell “sergeant” surely made their--and my--day.
