A Whole New World: I just got my driver’s license [last month], so I’m still learning the town. Before, I had a driver who drove me around. I kind of got tired of that.

Beachcomber: On Friday nights, my girlfriend [Liza Morales] and I like to take my daughter [2-year-old Destiny] to Santa Monica for walks along the Promenade and onto the Santa Monica Pier. It’s real nice, real laid-back. Lots of restaurants. My favorite is probably the Lobster, which is right on the pier. I get salmon. I love salmon. My daughter gets mashed potatoes or she picks from my plate or my girlfriend’s. My girl gets salad. They have really good desserts there too. I always get this one called Banana Betty. It’s a warm banana dish with fudge and cake.

Shop Till You’re Stopped: We love to shop at the Beverly Center, but I’ve kind of got to pick and choose when we go. Because of my height [6 feet 10], I can’t hide, so I can’t just go right in and out.

Game Day: I like the Cheesecake Factory in Marina del Rey. I love getting banana milkshakes there. They’re the best I’ve tasted in L.A. And they have a great bow-tie pasta with chicken and shrimp that I usually always get on game days. It’s a really big portion, so I’ll get it to go and eat that all during the day.

Best for Last: My favorite day of the weekend is probably Sunday. I like to start off with a great breakfast at the Serving Spoon in Culver City. It’s right by my boy’s house, [teammate] Jeff McInnis. I get all types of things--pancakes, grits, sausage, eggs--and it’s really great with a Sunrise, which is lemonade and orange juice mixed together. After breakfast, it’s just me, my girlfriend and my daughter playing around the house. Nothing to me is better than staying home on a Sunday, flipping through my DirecTV to watch every football game I can possibly watch.
