You knew it would happen--rap and wrestling have hooked up. Priority Records is putting together an album of rappers remixing WWF wrestlers’ entrance themes. Snoop Dogg and WC tag-team on Stone Cold Steve Austin’s music, with others on board including Run-DMC, Kool Keith, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, DMX, Method Man, MC Eiht and C Murder. It’s due March 21. . . .

Also in the works from Priority is the first project from a partnership with Divine Recordings, the new label run by Ozzy Osbourne’s manager and wife Sharon Osbourne. “Nativity in Black 2” is a tribute to Black Sabbath, with Ozzy teaming with Primus on the title track. Megadeth, Pantera, System of a Down and Static-X also contribute. . . .

With lead singer Trever Keith declaring, “Our fans are never wrong,” SoCal punk band Face to Face is letting its followers “A&R;” its next album. Starting within the next two weeks, fans will be able to hear songs as the band finishes them via the https://www.MP3.com Web site, and rate them on a 1-to-5 scale, as well as leave comments. The band promises the 12 top-rated tracks will make up the album, “Reactionary,” regardless of its own favorites. . . .

Kenny Wayne Shepherd is also courting fan participation on the Internet. He’s offering guitar players a chance to do their own solos to a track they can get via https://www.Launch.com. He’ll pick the best from recordings sent by Web upload, CD and cassette, with the winners (one 18 or older, one 17 or younger) getting to jam with him onstage at the L.A. House of Blues in May. . . .

And still on the Web, Robyn Hitchcock is releasing an album of outtakes and extra tracks from last year’s “Jewels for Sofia.” The disc is available only through his Web site, https://www.robynhitchcock.com. Among guests on the sessions were producer Jon Brion, Grant Lee Phillips and R.E.M.’s Peter Buck. Hitchcock appears at Largo Feb. 19 and 26.
