Tecstar Chief Executive Resigns
* Tecstar Inc., a city of Industry-based maker of aeronautical components and advanced technology for spacecraft including solar cells, said that David Van Buren has resigned as chief executive and a member of the company’s board. No reason was cited for his departure.
The company has begun a search for a new CEO, which is expected to be completed in a few months. During the interim, Mark De Witt, general manager of the Applied Solar Division, will join the existing office of the president, and will direct overall operations of the company along with chief financial officer John Hemingway.
* Raleigh Film & Television Studios, based in Manhattan Beach, has promoted Jane Sanders to the newly created position of controller.
* Computer Sciences Corp.’s board has elected Bryan Brady corporate vice president and controller. He replaces Scott Delanty, who has been appointed vice president of finance for CSC’s European Group, the company’s second largest revenue-generating region. Brady, formerly vice president, finance and administration for the company’s United Kingdom Division, will be based in CSC’s headquarters in El Segundo.
