LA’s BEST After School Enrichment Program needs volunteers to help children, ages 5-12, in Los Angeles Unified School District elementary schools with homework, to tell stories, read books and assist with arts and crafts, math and science projects, computers, sports and performing arts. * Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific needs volunteers to clean up the endangered California least ternbirds’ nesting site at the Seal Beach Wildlife Refuge located on the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station on Feb. 26 from 8:15 a.m. to noon. * Las Angelitas Del Pueblo, a docent organization at El Pueblo De Los Angeles Historical Monument, needs volunteers to conduct historical walking tours there. Volunteers will learn about old Olvera Street, the Avila Adobe (the oldest in the city), the first firehouse, the Pico House and the city’s first church, Our Lady Queen of Angels.
