Sue Williams has began the second week of her new position as general manager for the Rossmoor Community Services District.

The Newport Beach resident has replaced interim General Manager Ray Griest. Williams will be the fourth general manager for the unincorporated community in four years.

She was chosen for the position, similar to that of a city manager, because of her experience as a district manager for the Jurupa Area Recreation and Park District in Riverside County, composed of 11 unincorporated communities, and as the assistant to the city manager of Buena Park for nearly 14 years.

“I see Sue coming to us wanting to put her expertise at work for the people of Rossmoor,” said Linda Goodrich, one of the community’s directors. “I hope hers will be a long tenure.”
