The City Council tonight may seek design consultants to begin planning the conversion of Casa Romantica into the city’s first cultural arts center.
City staff is asking the council for permission to begin looking for firms two months before the city resumes control of the Spanish-style mansion because finding a design consultant may take several months, according to a city report.
