Nonprofit Service Group Seeks Youth Trainees

Public Allies, a nonprofit organization focusing on youth leadership training, is accepting applications for trainees interested in community service.

The organization is looking for 30 participants, or “allies,” ages 18 to 30, for a 10-month training program that involves weekly leadership sessions and internships at local nonprofit and community-based organizations.

Each ally is paid up to $15,000 and is eligible for health care and child care. In addition, participants also receive a $4,725 award at the end of the program to be used for future education or to pay off student loans.
