First American Financial Corp. said Tuesday that it has acquired a minority interest in a Philadelphia Internet provider of business-to-business automotive data fulfillment services.

Financial terms with Vintek Inc. were not disclosed.

First American, which operates the nation’s largest title insurer, did say in a press release that it also acquired options that allow for the purchase of a majority interest of Vintek’s equity over the next few years.

The Santa Ana company said Vintek provides Internet-based services involving the identification, titling and valuation of motor vehicles. The services are for automotive electronic retailers, finance companies, state motor vehicle agencies and other auto industry related companies.
