Festival of Arts exhibitors are still seeking signatures from festival members for a petition to recall the board, which wants to move the summer institution to San Clemente.
The exhibitors, operating under the acronym ARTS, Artists Resolved to Stay, say they also need financial donations to support a legal fund to possibly hire a lawyer to help with their recall efforts.
Exhibitors say they are close to gathering more than 220 signatures to comply with the festival’s bylaw requirements for a recall election. They expect to deliver signatures to the board next week.
The exhibitors asked every board member except David Young to resign. Young opposes the move.
