The city’s Emergency Services Department will offer two eight-week workshops on how residents can respond in disasters. Participants can attend either a Saturday or Thursday evening workshop. The Saturday workshop will begin March 11; the Thursday course starts April 20. Participants will learn about how to do damage assessment after an emergency, emergency communications and the city’s role in disasters. Participants will tour the Orange County Communications Center and do a four-hour mock search and rescue. Information: (714) 765-4020.
