Lavoie Is Named CFO at Irvine’s eBuilt
Theodore Lavoie has joined eBuilt Inc. in Irvine as chief financial officer. Lavoie was previously senior vice president and chief financial officer of BigStore.com, an e-commerce retailer. He was also chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Lumenyte International, and vice president and chief financial officer of Wahlco Environmental Systems.
* Ernest C. Cook Jr. has been named chief medical officer of Cogent Healthcare Inc. in Laguna Hills. Cook joined Cogent in 1998 as vice president, provider operations. Before that, he served for nine years as medical director of Humana’s Daytona Beach, Fla., health plan. In addition, Patricia E. Flannery was selected vice president of operations, and Jeffrey R. Poole is the new vice president of information technology. Flannery was formerly director of Medicare programs for United Healthcare. Before joining the company, Poole was director of information systems at Specialty Laboratories Inc. He has also held IT management positions at Black & Decker and Lockheed Corp.
* Scott St. Clair has joined Beech Street Corp. in Irvine as director of business development for distribution services. St. Clair had been vice president for North Star Marketing Corp., a marketer of health and life insurance.
* Faye E. Miller has been appointed associate at Collaborative West in San Clemente. She joined the landscape architecture, environmental design, planning and urban design firm in 1995.
* Roger Moxley has joined Docplanet.com Inc. in Santa Ana as senior vice president of business development. Moxley was formerly vice president of sales and marketing for Physix Inc., a Houston-based provider of electronic medical records and coding compliance systems. Before that, Moxley headed national sales for a division of QuadraMed.
* John Chadwell has been appointed public relations manager for MTI Technology Corp. in Anaheim. Chadwell joined MTI from Computer Sciences Corp., where he was the senior editor in the marketing communications department.
* Charles Paul has been named a managing director of Hunter Wise Financial Group LLC, an investment banking firm in Newport Beach. He had been managing director of Paul-Adams & Co. in Los Angeles, an advisory firm he founded in 1994. Earlier, Paul was managing director of Geneva Capital Markets Inc.
* Christopher Clarke has joined the general contracting firm of Gordon & Williams in Irvine as director of new business development. Clarke has more than 15 years of experience in business development in Southern California, focusing on the entertainment industry and commercial and industrial office space markets.
