LA, OC Weekly Name Publisher

* Alternative newspapers LA Weekly and OC Weekly named a new publisher Monday, elevating their associate publisher, Judy Jablonski, to the post. Jablonski, 39, replaces Michael Sigman, 50, who was promoted to executive vice president of newly formed Village Voice Media, which acquired the two weeklies, plus their sister publications in New York, Cleveland, Minneapolis and Seattle, last week.

Sigman retains authority over editors of the two papers. Jablonski was associate publisher of the two free Southern California weeklies for five years after serving in their advertising department. She is a member of the National Assn. of Female Executives.

* Los Angeles-based PBOC Holdings Inc., parent of People’s Bank of California, has promoted Chief Financial Officer J. Michael Holmes to senior executive vice president and CFO. The bank also named William W. Flader senior executive vice president and chief operations officer; Jay Hundley, a bank consultant, was hired as executive vice president; and William Carroll, branch operations supervisor, was named executive vice president.

* Pink Dot Inc., a Camarillo-based grocery delivery service, has named Scott Langdoc chief information officer. Formerly executive vice president and chief information officer of regional grocery and drugstore chain Raley’s, Langdoc will be responsible for developing Pink Dot’s marketing strategy.
