Analyst Action: New Stock Ratings

Among the new equity ratings issued Monday on Wall Street, Net stocks took center stage:
* America Online Inc. (AOL; $72.63, down $1.13) was raised to “strong buy” from “buy” by Banc of America Securities, and raised to “buy” from “long-term positive” by Platinum Equities Inc.
* Excite@Home Corp. (ATHM; $40.13, up $1.19) was raised to “strong buy” from “neutral” by Platinum Equities, but downgraded to “market perform” from “buy” by Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown.
* Yahoo Inc. (YHOO; $436.06, up $28.81) was downgraded to “sell” from “strong buy” by Platinum Equities.
