BofA Exec Calbay Takes On New Duties

Rutgardo Calbay, vice president of Bank of America, has been selected the first manager of the Irvine-Culver in-store banking center in Irvine. He previously managed the Muirlands-Mission Viejo in-store banking center.

William Tolin Gay has been elected to serve on the board of directors of the Orange County chapter of the Assn. for Corporate Growth. He is a partner in the Irvine law firm of Snell & Wilmer.

Bill Hampton has joined Allegiance Telecom Inc. in Newport Beach as vice president in charge of sales for the Orange County area. Before joining the company, he was district manager for Global Crossing Ltd., and held sales and sales management positions at Metropolitan Fiber Systems and Sprint.

Michael Walkey has been named vice president of product management for Buy.com in Aliso Viejo. He is the former president of BLT Electronics. Before that, he was vice president of purchasing for Ingram Micro Inc. Tom Wright was appointed vice president of fulfillment operations. Wright had been a vice president of logistics at Ingram Micro, and managed the company’s North American operations, logistics, supply chain operations and global compliance. Mark MacDonald is the new vice president of media sales.

He was formerly group publisher for the Individual Investor Group in New York. Before that, MacDonald was the founding publisher of Men’s Journal magazine and group publisher of Family Life magazine. Travis Fagan was named vice president of customer service. Previously, Fagan was vice president and manager of customer care for Wells Fargo’s Online Financial Services Group. Murray Williams has been appointed vice president of global business development. Williams has been director of finance and vice president of finance at the company.
