A memorial service will be held tomorrow for longtime fire education specialist Ellen Covey. Covey, who died of cancer Jan. 2, served the Fire Department for 22 years. She was awarded the Monsignor John Sammon Award last month by the Orange County Fire Services Assn. for showing outstanding achievement in safety and family involvement programs.
The service begins at 2 p.m. at St. Columban Catholic Church, 10801 Stanford Ave. Sworn personnel are requested to be in uniform, but not apparatus. Because of limited parking, car-pooling is encouraged. Cards may be mailed to 6410 Regents Court, Yorba Linda, CA 92886.
