Happy Voyager

Share

Just a week after returning from the Christmas week cruise aboard the new mega-ship Voyager of the Seas, I was glad to read the article by Shirley Slater and Harry Basch (“It’s Hard to Get Bored Aboard Voyager of the Seas,” Cruise Views, Jan. 2). I guess the secret is out.

I traveled with my two teenage sons, and we all had a great time. (It was kind of a fluke that we took this trip--I was lured by an ad in the Travel Section.) I had been on only a couple of short cruises in the past, and it would be hard to find a better introduction to real cruising.

Even after acquainting ourselves with the ship on the first day, it was easy to find new spots throughout the week. What a delight to look out on the ocean while walking off some of the calories on the treadmill in the beautiful gym. There is something for everybody--from those who crave action to the more sedate traveler.
