* Kilroy Realty Corp. acquired 19 acres of land adjacent to the company’s Carmel Mountain Technology Center near Interstate 15 and Camino del Norte in San Diego for $12.6 million from TRW. Kilroy plans to build 348,000 square feet of office space on the site beginning in April, according to Steve Scott, a Kilroy senior vice president. The company plans to develop the property in three phases, with completion due in February 2003. Kilroy and TRW were both represented by Chris Pasqual and Rick Sparks of CB Richard Ellis.

* The Pomona Unified School District acquired four office buildings totaling 107,328 square feet on 14.7 acres for $7.9 million from CUNA Mutual Insurance Society and the California Credit Union League. The sellers of 2322, 2350 and 2370 S. Garey Ave. in Pomona were represented by Steven Gelber of Gelber Realty Corp., along with Mark McAdams and Craig Lyon of Cushman & Wakefield. The school district represented itself.

* CUNA Mutual Insurance Society and CU Mortgage signed a 10-year, $7.6-million lease for 42,000 square feet of space at 9500 Cleveland Ave. in the Empire Lakes Corporate Center in Rancho Cucamonga. The tenants were represented by Steven Gelber of Gelber Realty Corp., along with Mark McAdams and Craig Lyon of Cushman & Wakefield. The landlord, W9/WLA Real Estate Limited Partnership, was represented by Tom Pierck and Dave Mudge.
