General Automation Plans Name Change

General Automation Inc., an Irvine maker of database business products, said Monday that it plans to change its corporate name to GA eXpress and combine its wholly owned subsidiary, Liberty Integration Software, into the main company.

The company said in a press release that it will do business as GA eXpress until shareholders can approve the name change, which the company will seek by the end of March. The new name reflects the company’s effort to focus its business customers on e-commerce.

So people would not be confused about its new name, General Automation also provided a pronunciation: G-A-E-express.
