Morning Bloom: Friday I get up and go to the Flower Mart in downtown. Most people don’t realize that you don’t have to go at 6 a.m. At 11, some stuff is closed, but there are still plenty of flowers left. Surrounding yourself with that much beauty is a great way to start off the weekend.

All Yoga All the Time: Silver Lake Yoga--on Glendale Boulevard--changed my life. I’m there five or six times a week. At Rick Flow’s Friday class he plays great music, and makes us do something really hard, saying it’s “just for kicks.”

Pit Stop at TJ’s: One of my favorite things at Trader Joe’s--and I do feel like people need help on what to buy there--is organic, shade-grown espresso roast coffee. It’s beyond organic because they grow it in a way that’s environmentally sound. So you can have your coffee and feel like you’re helping save the world.

Mini Vacation: The great thing about the Citadel [outlet mall] is that you feel like you’re out of town, even though it only takes 15 minutes to get there from the Eastside. There’s a Betsey Johnson outlet, and an Old Navy that is basically only good for boxer shorts. And there’s a bookstore with cut-rate feng shui books. It’s sort of like Bodhi Tree, but with no ambience. You’ll never run into anyone you know at the Citadel, and that’s what makes it like a vacation.

Saturday: More yoga.

Music or Movies: During my ideal weekend, Tenacious D would be playing at Largo on Saturday night. Otherwise, I’d go to the Los Feliz 3 because it’s the only theater with a civilized audience. And it has good cappuccino.

Pacific Rim Shopping: Marukai. It’s everything, the godhead. It’s sort of a Japanese Costco with every kind of seaweed you could want, plus pajamas and Japanese pottery. They also have a sushi restaurant. It’s on Artesia Boulevard in Gardena, 10 minutes south of LAX on the 405.

Pre- and Post-”Un-Cab”: Sunday, I wake up to Radio Nation on KPFK, and go back to yoga. The whole weekend, really, is leading up to “Un-Cabaret” at LunaPark. I would go even if it wasn’t my show.
