Dowis Named Senior VP of Marsh Risk

Sharron Dowis has been appointed senior vice president of the Newport Beach office of Marsh Risk & Insurance Services, overseeing all operations of the insurance brokerage services department. Dowis, who joined the company in 1985, has 21 years of experience in the insurance field. Tom Cammann has been elected a managing director. He continues as the middle market practice leader. Blake Rea was appointed senior vice president. He oversees the financial and professional division.

* Curt A. Caspersen has been named executive vice president of First American Financial Corp. in Santa Ana and director of national lender services. He will continue to serve as national sales manager for First American Real Estate Information Services. Since joining the company in 1986, Caspersen has served in numerous sales and management positions.

* Linh Tong has joined BDO Seidman LLP in Costa Mesa as a senior associate in the assurance practice. She was previously a senior associate with Deloitte & Touche LLP.
