GBC Bancorp Names Chief Exec

* GBC Bancorp, parent company of Los Angeles-based General Bank, has promoted president Peter Wu to chief executive. He succeeds Li-Pei Wu--no relation--who will gradually shed his CEO responsibilities and become chairman next year. General Bank, with 17 branches, specializes in international trade financing and real estate and construction lending.
* BizBuyer.com, an online business-to-business service that connects buyers and sellers, named Patrick Lopker senior vice president and chief financial officer. Lopker is a former executive vice president and CFO at Walt Disney Co.’s ABC Cable Networks division.
* Professional services firm Ernst & Young has named Richard Orosco managing director of its IRS Practices and Procedures Group. He will be based in Los Angeles.
