‘Sopranos’ Irony
Brian Lowry writes about “The Sopranos” that “the TV press and those who work in the entertainment industry simply adore the show” (“ ‘Sopranos’ Is Big, but Not Really That Big,” Jan. 21). The irony couldn’t be thicker, as these are the very people who keep churning out “entertainment-tripe-for-dollars” and the people who review and encourage them. This is classic co-dependency in a town where one has to sneak one’s dose of quality entertainment in private away from the junkertainment factories.
