Once Again, Tyson Says a Mouthful

Share

Mike Tyson proved that he is still physically fit to be competitive in the ring. But he is hardly suited to be champion. This is supposed to be a sport. The only way to let him fight is to have a troop of Marines in there with him to keep him from hitting the referee, the corner men, the announcer and the card girls.

Mike Tyson was clearly completely out of control. I have no doubt that he intended to kill his opponent. Literally kill him.

We all know that boxing is the world headquarters for hyperbole, but can anyone doubt that Tyson was absolutely serious when he said, of Lennox Lewis, “I want to rip his heart out and hand it to him,” and, “I want to eat your children?” That wasn’t hyperbole, that was the real Tyson.

The man has reverted to the animal and should not ever be allowed to fight again. He will kill somebody. As my wife said after the fight, “For the people who hate boxing, Tyson proves that everything they think about the sport is true.”

If anyone is wondering why Mike Tyson didn’t want to eat Evander Holyfield’s children, it’s because Holyfield has too many children by too many different women for even Tyson to stomach.
