Board members of the Golden Rain Foundation voted Wednesday to approve the extended hours at the Clubhouse Five Fitness Center on a trial basis. The center, which used to open at 8 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, will now open at 7 a.m.

Board members also voted to approve spending $29,000 to buy backup generators for emergencies.

Also, the $300 transfer fee, which pays for the application process of buying a home in Leisure World, will be increased to $350 for all escrows opened on or after Jan. 1, 2001.
