* How amusing. A teacher manages, on a teacher’s meager salary, to accumulate more than a million dollars and travel the world on $87,000 a year [“Retired Schoolteacher’s Finances Are a Study in Risk Aversion,” Money Make-Over, June 27].

Now she is chastised and instructed by investment counselors who would likely not be counseling if they had a million dollars and $87,000 a year. Ha.
