Slovenian Connection

Share

After seeing and reading your article about my parents’ homeland (“Slovenia’s Quiet Beauty,” June 4), I had to write and commend you on your interesting and informative article on places to visit while traveling in this small but beautiful country.

My parents, who are now deceased, were born in Austria. After World War I, the part of Austria where they lived had become part of Yugoslavia.

In 1974 I flew with my two older sisters and one brother-in-law to Yugoslavia to visit our cousins there. We had a wonderful visit.

I could go on and on, but what I’m most concerned about is thanking you for such a good evaluation of our heritage and expressing the hope that someone else will have the opportunity to visit there. They might be surprised!
