With Uniforms, Focus Is on Education, Not Style

Re: “Girls Just Wanna Be in Style” (June 27), these young women shouldn’t have to worry about being “in style” at school. They have enough concerns regarding their homework and their grades. Uniforms eliminate the concern about clothes and being in style, set the appropriate stage for academia, save money and make it easier for the girls’ male peers who, at this age, are having a hard enough time studying as it is without having inappropriately dressed young women around them.
