* Faced with the prospect of losing thousands of jobs, Boeing Co.’s largest union vowed to fight the aerospace giant’s plans to sell underutilized plants and unprofitable assets. A leader of the International Assn. of Machinists and Aerospace Workers local in Seattle said the union will hold rallies aimed at mobilizing local support for its protests, but gave few other details other than to say work slowdowns wouldn’t be used.
