22 Guatemalan Migrants Drown

More bodies washed ashore after a boat carrying Guatemalan migrants trying to reach the United States sank off Mexico’s Pacific coast, bringing the death toll to 22 people. The Mexican government news agency Notimex said four bodies were discovered in a lagoon on the Gulf of Tehuantepec on Saturday. Eighteen bodies had been recovered earlier, authorities said. The lone survivor told Notimex that the boat was caught in a storm Friday.
