Health Care Property Investors Inc.

The Newport Beach health care real estate investment trust reported funds from operations totaled $43.4 million, or 84 cents a share, for the second quarter, up 66% from $26.1 million, or 80 cents a share, for the second quarter of 1999. Net income rose 81% to $28.3 million, or 55 cents a share, from $15.6 million, or 49 cents a share, for the year-earlier period. The most recent figure included $3 million in gains from the sale of real estate properties. Revenue was up 58% to $82.1 million.
