$4.5-Million Investment Boosts Bitcentral.com

Bitcentral.com Inc., an Irvine provider of wireless broadband technologies, said Monday that it has received $4.5 million in equity capital from a consortium of investors.

Bitcentral.com said in a news release that the consortium consists of Taiwanese institutional investors and EDS-A.T. Kearney Ventures, a global corporate venture fund that focuses on Internet and business-to-business companies. The Taiwanese group was led by Glory Union Capital Management.

Bitcentral.com said it will use the proceeds from the funding to spur its marketing and technology efforts and continue to expand its management team.
