Uproar to Buy Iwin.com: Uproar Ltd., an Internet entertainment company, said it agreed to buy Los Angeles-based Iwin.com Inc., an online lottery and games company, for about $88 million in stock. Uproar will pay 14.7 million shares of common stock to Iwin.com. The value is based on Uproar’s closing price Tuesday. The transaction is expected to increase the number of visitors and attract advertisers to the company’s Web site. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the year. New York-based Uproar had 1999 sales of $10.4 million. Its shares rose $1, to $7, on Nasdaq.
