Sotheby’s to Display Disney Film Artwork
Artwork from Disney’s animated features “Fantasia/2000” and “Tarzan” will be on display today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m at Sotheby’s in Beverly Hills.
The pieces are taken from a larger collection to be sold in New York June 29.
Among the “Fantasia” works presented are a special cel and background of Rachel, the little girl in “Rhapsody in Blue,” signed by sequence director Eric Goldberg and caricaturist Al Hirschfeld, whose drawings inspired the segment, and a set of 25 nearly life-sized stuffed animals, including Donald Duck and Daisy.
