Ex-Militant Held in 1978 Moro Slaying

French police arrested a onetime member of the Italian Red Brigades in connection with the 1978 assassination of former Italian Prime Minister Aldo Moro. Alvaro Loiacono, 50, was arrested on a crowded beach in Bastia, Corsica, police said. He put up no resistance. Italian authorities had been hunting for Loiacono for 22 years for his alleged role in the death of Moro, who was kidnapped and subsequently killed. Loiacono was brought before a judge in Bastia after his arrest.
