Feiffer’s Adieu

For 43 years I have been a fan of Jules Feiffer wherever I could find his smart and insightful cartoons, putting to pictures and words what most of us felt and could never express as well.

Even his retirement announcement last Sunday was in keeping with his great style. My Sundays will never be the same.

Congratulations to the new administration of The Times for the decision to drop Feiffer, as announced in his own typically whiny, self-pitying manner. I am only sorry he has another three weeks.
